Assignment 2: Film Production

It was directed by Rodney Ascher and 25 other Directors
It was produced by Todd Brown and 20+ other Producers
The production companies that were involved are Drafthouse Films and 8 others
It was distributed by DVD, Blu Ray, online streaming sites (Netfilx, etc.)
It was exhibited in main stream cinemas such as The Oden and The View

Vertical and Horizontal Integration: -

Horizontal integration is a strategy where a company creates or acquires production units for outputs which are alike - either complementary or competitive.

Vertical integration is the process in which several steps in the production and/or distribution of a product or service are controlled by a single company or entity, in order to increase that company’s or entity’s power in the marketplace.

Synergy: -

The interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.

BBFC: -

The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), is a non-governmental organization, founded by the film industry in 1912 and responsible for the national classification and censorship of films within the United Kingdom. It has a statutory requirement to classify videos, DVDs and, to a lesser extent, some video games under the Video Recordings Act 2010.

MPAA: -

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) is an American trade association that represents the six major Hollywood studios. It was founded in 1922 as the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America to advance the business interests of its members. It is currently administers the MPAA film rating system.
